The Admissions Module is designed to streamline and enhance the admissions processes of your school. This tool offers a variety of configurable features, allowing for the customization of data settings. These include options to capture prospective students’ motivations and referral sources. You can define Blocks, Nurseries, and Schools to organize your campus, and manage Grades and Curriculum to align with your educational standards.
Additionally, it also enables you to manage Documents, Discounts, and Conditions for comprehensive student profiles. For parent-related information, the module allows customization of Parent Employer details, Admission Email Templates, and Parent Occupations, ensuring a thorough and tailored admissions experience.

Blocks #
Blocks help organize students into manageable groups for administrative and academic purposes.

- Name: Provide a name for the Block. Blocks are subject examinations that are selected by the parents during the admissions process to be taken by the student.
- Academic Year: Select the Academic Year from the drop-down menu. These options can be configured in Configure Academic Years.
- Year: Select the Year from the drop-down menu. These options can be configured in Configure Years Master.
- Subjects: Select the Subjects from the drop-down menu. These options can be configured in Configure Subjects.
Nurseries #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Nurseries ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a nursery name. This allows parents select the nursery that their child attended before transferring to your institute.
Schools #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Schools ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a school name. This allows parents select the school that their child attended before transferring to your institute.
Grades #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Grades ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a Grade name. This allows parents select the grade that their child was in before transferring to your institute.
Curriculum #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Curriculum ‣ Create
- Year Master: Select a year from the drop-down menu.
- Relative Grade: Select a grade from the drop-down menu.
Colors #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Colors ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a Color name. This allows parents select the Colors that their child can identify.
Shapes #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Shapes ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a Shape name. This allows parents select the Shapes that their child can identify.
Admission Subjects #
These subjects will be used to assess the student during the admissions process.
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Admission Subjects ‣ Create
- Name: Provide an Admission Subjects name.
To configure the Required Assessment: Go to EDUGATE ‣ Configuration ‣ Year ‣ Edit
- Select a Year, then select the type of assessment
- None: Select this option if no assessment is required.
- Interview: Select this option if an interview is required as part of the admissions process.
- Exam: Select this option if a written exam is required.
- Both: Select this option if both an interview and a written exam are required.
Pass Marks #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Pass Marks ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a Subject Pass Mark name (e.g. English Pass Mark, Year 1 Math Pass Mark).
- Year: Select the school year.
- Pass Score: Provide a pass score.
- Max Mark: Provide the total/ maximum mark.
- Percentage: Provide a percentage.
Documents Type #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Documents Type ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a document name (e.g. Passport).
- Year Master: Select school year.
- Category: Select category (Student or Parent).
- Is Required: Tick this box if this document is required for admission.
Discounts #
To apply and manage discounts during the school admissions process within the school management system. Proper management of discounts ensures that eligible students receive the appropriate financial benefits.
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Discounts ‣ Create
- Academic Year: Select the Academic Year from the drop-down menu.
- Siblings Discount: Click Add A Line, and fill the No. of Siblings info and the Percentage discount.
- Early Bird Discount: Click Add A Line, and fill the Fee name, select the Date from the calendar, and provide the Percentage.
- New Admission Discount: Click Add A Line, and fill the Fee name, select the Date from the calendar, and provide the Percentage.
- Staff Discount: Click Add A Line, and select the Department from the drop-down menu (configured in the Human Resources module), and fill the rest of the info such as From, To, 1st Child %, 2nd Child %.
Illnesses #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Illnesses ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a name for the Illness.
Conditions #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Conditions ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a name for the Condition.
Parent Employer #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Parent Employer ‣ Create
- Name: Provide a name for the Parent Employer.
Admission Email Template #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Admission Email Template ‣ Create
- Email Template: Select the Email Template that will be sent to parents throughout the admissions process from the drop-down menu. These options can be configured in Settings ‣ Technical ‣ Email Templates.
- Academic Year: Select the Academic Year from the drop-down menu. This can be configured in Configure Academic Years.
- Status: From the drop-down menu, select a Status.
- Year: From the drop-down menu, select school years that this template applies to. This can be configured in Configure Years Master.
Parent Occupation #
Go to Admissions ‣ Configuration ‣ Parent Occupation ‣ Create
- Name: Provide the Parent’s Occupation.
